Friends,

MS-Just Keep Movingā€¦what does that mean to you?  To some it means ā€œI have MS and I just need to keep movingā€.  By the way, thatā€™s true!  We all need to keep moving.  For others, it means friends, love, support, acceptance and understanding.  For some, it means an opportunity to help people living with MS.  To me, it means an amazing community of people helping people that Iā€™m proud and thankful to be part of.  Have I told you I miss you lately?  Well, I miss youā€¦a lot!

Iā€™ve been struggling lately.  This social distancing thing is getting really old.  Iā€™ve taken up eating everything in the house every chance I get.  As a result, Iā€™ve packed on a lot of COVID weight.  Unfortunately, the stores are all closed and I canā€™t even go out and buy bigger clothes.  Thankfully, we have enough food in the housešŸ˜Š.  If you get a chance, give me a good kick in the buttā€¦I need it and deserve it.  This too will pass; right?

Do you want something to do just for fun and a little inspiration?  Go to our MS-Just Keep Moving websiteand watch some of the videos that have been recently posted, read some stories and gain a little inspiration.  Cal and Mike have been adding to our website 2-3 times per week.  It might help you get through this pandemic in some way even if itā€™s just bringing a smile to your face. http://msjustkeepmoving.org/

A big thank you goes out to all who are making masks.  Some good news!  We will be able to get more mask making kits from Mike and be able to continue making them.  There are lots of people in need of them and we certainly want to help stop this pandemic.

Laura will continue to communicate with anyone that wants to make more masks.  Please let Laura or me know if youā€™re willing to make masks.  Please share pictures, videos, stories, experiences, etc. about making the masks and sharing them in the community.

Our prayer group on Wednesday mornings are growing.  Even though we canā€™t get together physically, itā€™s so nice to see all that joins us virtually and learn how youā€™re doing and how this pandemic is affecting you.  I really like the good things coming out of this pandemic that are discussedā€¦seeing Godā€™s work as blessings.  Itā€™s awesome seeing so many of you there laughing, listening, sharing, giving thanks and praying!   We have a lot to give thanks for, donā€™t we?

Weā€™re going to be doing it again tomorrow (Wednesday) @ 11:30am.  Weā€™ll get together either via phone or computer (your choice) and share, talk, listen, give thanks, and pray in however God leads us.  Itā€™s a way for all of us to get together virtually to catch up and be there for each other and with each other.  I hope youā€™ll join us!

Hereā€™s a link to our Zoom Meeting that Ashley provided for us.  Thanks Ashley!  Just click or call @ 11:30am Wednesday and youā€™ll be connected.  I hope to ā€œseeā€ you there!  šŸ˜Š

An interesting thing that came out of our prayer group several times now is an app that sounds really cool.  Itā€™s an app that provides all kinds of exercise programs you can do at home.  During this pandemic, itā€™s FREE for the first 90 days.  Itā€™s called the Peloton App.  Hereā€™s a link to it: https://www.onepeloton.com/app

My heart goes out to all the people and families of the people that have been affected by COVID-19.  This is really getting serious and close to home.  Whether actually having it, being exposed to it, being affected by businesses being shut down, losing your job, working on the front line, etc.  These are tough times and we really need to take it seriously and do our part of practicing social distancing and all other recommendations.  I hope you and your family are safe.  Letā€™s keep everyone affected in our prayers and pray we all get through this as safely as we can.

As we all go through this pandemic together, I encourage you to share a smile with someone.  Perhaps you could give someone a call that you havenā€™t talked with for a while just to see how theyā€™re doing.  This pandemic is tough in many ways.  We all could use a little extra love and encouragement during these times.

I hope we get to get out and ride together soon!  Weā€™re going to have to wait until this pandemic settles down a bit before we get our big group together to ride on Friday mornings.  I would encourage you to get out there riding with one or two other people for now.

Letā€™s be thankful for all the doctors, nurses and everyone in the health care that are putting themselves at risk every day and every night as they serve those with the Coronavirus.  These are amazing, selfless, courageous people!  Letā€™s also give thanks to all the people in the world that are working diligently to develop testing equipment and ways to treat this Coronavirus.  Letā€™s also give thanks for all the people that are working diligently to produce protective gear, respirators, and any other medical equipment to help us get through this pandemic.

We may be inconvenienced in many ways but others have it much worse.  Letā€™s be thankful we have each other.  I know Iā€™m thankful for you!

We will not be getting back together at the gym yet.  Weā€™re going to get through this COVID-19 pandemic before we do.  I love you too much to put you at risk.

I hope youā€™re doing your part to ā€œkeep movingā€ and stay healthy during these unprecedented times weā€™re going through.  Iā€™m hoping and praying that none of us get this virus and have to deal with it.

Letā€™s stay calm, focused, healthy, flexible, have faith and learn as much as we can about the challenges of each day and make good choices.  Hopefully weā€™ll be back at the gym together soon.

I love and miss you all!

Dan

P.S.  Please share how youā€™re doing and what youā€™re doing to keep movingā€¦pictures and smiles please šŸ˜Š
