Friends,
Exciting and Fun Circuit Workout!
It’s really good to see so many people back that haven’t been here for a while and for the new people who have been joining. It was exciting to see so many people working so hard in the circuit program last Friday while having so much fun. It’s always more fun to work out together.
Metals for MS program
We are starting a metals recycling program to help raise money for our mission. You can help! Save your aluminum cans and any other metals that can be recycled. We have a drop off container outside our building. Just drop them off in there and we have volunteers that will sort the metals and take them to a recycling center. If you’d be willing to volunteer for this initiative, please let me know. We could use another volunteer or two for this so it’s not so much work for one person.
Golf Outing
Location and time:
Friday, June 20th, 2025
Wanaki Golf Course – Menomonee Falls
Registration – 7:30-9:00 am
Golfing – 9:00am
Our golf outing planning with our friends at ePlatinum Health is in full swing. This golf outing is a lot of fun and it’s our largest fundraising event of the year. We are very fortunate and thankful to have our friends at ePlatinum Health putting this on for us again this year.
Please check out the sheets at the gym and let us know what you’re willing to go out and get donations for. Thanks so much!
How can you help?
- We need some nice raffle and silent auction items. If you know a business that would like some visibility with a great group of people that is willing to donate something for our raffles and silent auction items, please ask them to do so. If you would be willing to donate some new items for our raffle baskets, please do.
- You could sponsor a hole. Please see this link for more information https://eplatinumhealth.com/ms-golf-outing/
- You could golf with us. In the past, we’ve filled up each year. This year we are about half full at this point. Here’s the link https://eplatinumhealth.com/ms-golf-outing/ I know last year some of you wanted to golf but it was already full so I would suggest signing up now if you want to golf.
- We will also need a few volunteers. We will let you know what need for volunteering as we get closer
Please help us get some really nice and fun raffle / silent auction items. We will have a list of items desired at the gym in the near future. We want to make this a great experience for the golfers again this year. Thanks so much!
Day of Endurance – Saturday, August 23rd 2025
I hope your training is going well. I know some are hitting it hard already and are well ahead of what they were doing last year at this time…good job! We get out of it what we put into it. Please turn your progress notes into Dr Kate bi-weekly.
Let’s make this journey and experience the best yet and have some fun…together. As we begin our training, let’s enjoy each day and record what we do on the packet we put together for you. If you didn’t get a packet, please see Dr Kate or me for your packet. We’re trying to make it really easy for you to record what you’re doing on a daily basis. These will be interesting for you to look back at a year from now. Hopefully, you can do more next year than you do this year.
Remember, try to do daily workouts and just one LONG workout each week. It’s on the one long day that you want to do just a little better than the week before and gradually build up each week.
Ed and Adam’s Podcast
Adam and Ed had a conversation with Al Graham last week. Al always has much love and wisdom to share.

Thai Massage with Ricky Heldt
Ricky will be here on Wednesdays doing Thai Massage.
There is a sign-up board to be used to accommodate your needs for your exercise plan. Some people with spasticity need to be massaged / stretched out before they can exercise. Some people need a massage after a hard workout to loosen up their tight muscles or relieve pain.
We have limited spots for massages, please be considerate of people that need the massage the most in order to do the exercises they need to do or recover from the exercises they just did.
You can pick the time slot that works for you.
Reiki on Wednesdays and Fridays
Reiki is available at the gym, for FREE, on Wednesdays (Mary B, Jill K) and on Fridays (Linda C and Mary R), 9:30am until noon. Sessions typically last 20-30 minutes. Sign up for a session on the white board.
Reiki (ray-kee) relaxes the body so that healing can occur! The “magic” of Reiki has helped some of our members with pain, insomnia, constipation, and so much more! Try it the next time you are at the gym!

I encourage you to share a smile and encouragement with someone. Perhaps you could call someone that you have not talked with for a while just to say hi and see how they are doing. We all could use a little extra love and encouragement.
MS is tough. Let’s have faith, remain calm, be flexible, help each other and learn as much as we can about the challenges of each day as we make good choices and take action.
Let’s keep moving, smiling and loving It helps!

P.S. Cal and I went for a walk at Nashotah Park the other day. I was taking a picture of this acorn lid and this fly wanted it’s picture taken and crawled onto the acorn lid. I got lucky and was able to capture it.
We walked a little further and I saw these dragon flies enjoying each other’s company. Interesting reflections of each other and the sky.
We walked a little further and we saw a sandhill crane sitting on her nest.
We stood there for a while and she got up and rotated her eggs a bit. Pretty cool
There are little blue and yellow flowers out there right now.
The May Apples are growing nicely
It’s nice to see the green grass and shadows as the sun starts going down
I went back to Nashotah Park on Sunday morning and happened to see some Eastern Bluebirds.
I watched them for a while and they showed me where they are nesting.
Beautiful birds!
There were a lot of ring-necked ducks on the lake
This sandhill crane was peeking through the weeds
For those who can’t get out and enjoy nature due your challenges with MS…my heart is with you. You are with me every time I’m out there. I enjoy being out there and I also enjoy sharing with you. I know how hard it is not to be able to get out and enjoy nature. Let’s enjoy nature and God’s beauty together this way.
