Friends,
Nicole Connolly’s Presentations
Nichole Connolly presented to the group last week about cleaning up your skin care and body products. You can find the presentation here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1RcGF9Ntdz7REEwShi8SmwszL86JqdUdzCRvnmz7ayH4/edit?usp=sharing
She put together a google form for members to complete if they are looking for more individual support with finding easier or safer cleaning solutions in their home. This may be particularly helpful to those with strength and/or mobility challenges at home with cleaning tasks as well: https://forms.gle/U5RPXnwHk2YRuthv9
Thanks, Nichole for putting together this series of educational talks!
Yardstick of Life – Rick Talbert
Rick has been talking about putting together his yardstick of life presentation for a long time. Rick will finally be presenting it to us this Friday. I’m excited to hear it.

I’m looking forward to it as Rick will be sharing how his life has gone living with MS. There’s no doubt in my mind that Rick will be sharing some nuggets of wisdom. I hope you will join us Friday @ 11:00am.
Acres of Diamonds – Earl Nightingale
This group reminds me so much of Earl Nightingale’s presentation of the Acres of Diamonds story. So many people search their whole life for purpose, love, security, faith, money, etc. Sometimes, the opportunities are right in front of us but we can’t see them.
If you don’t know the story about Acres of Diamonds, listen to this 7 minute 52 second message form Earl and see if you agree with me.

We are so blessed to have each other. Thank you for being part of our MS-Just Keep Moving family. Let’s continue making progress with MS together. Who knows what the next development about living with MS will come as a result of us getting together, learning together, sharing and working so hard to stay ahead of it.
Dr Obeidat’s Slides
Dr Obeidat kindly shared his slides for the presentation he gave us last week on what happens to our brain when we experience visual art.

Here’s a link to his slides: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mBqd0gpt0LRALSlNLVHAq_qxVFRFQSMr/view?usp=sharing
Thank you, Dr O for coming and sharing your passion and knowledge. Thank you also for sharing your slides.
Dockhounds Game to benefit our MS-Just Keep Moving Mission – This Sunday
I hope to see you there. We have 88 of our MS-Just Keep Moving family coming with friends and loved ones. That’s amazing! Let’s make this a great outing together. You can still get tickets and join us if you don’t have tickets yet and want to come.

Golf Outing – Friday, June 26th
Please bring anything you have for our raffle and silent auction items in to the gym this week. The time has come. We will be putting baskets, etc. together this week.
A huge THANKS goes out to everyone who went out and solicited donations for us as well as those who made a donation. THANK YOU!
We really want to give the golfers a great experience as well as raise a bunch of money for our mission.

We are still looking for some sponsors who would like to get some great visibility and help our mission. If you know someone that would be willing to be a sponsor, please let us know that as well. Here’s a link for sponsorship. https://eplatinumhealth.com/ms-golf-outing/ We are THANKFUL for our sponsors.

Nutrition Program
We didn’t have a nutrition program this week with Memorial Day.
Last week, Janine and friends reviewed online MS advice. There’s a lot out there, what do we trust?
If you are not engaging in our nutrition program, I would highly encourage you to at least read the handouts that Janine prepares for us each week and apply the information into your lifestyle.

Here’s a link to the full handout:
Nutrition: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OKT33Q2OizaM1Z6OEf9vSxgmd89JM904/view?usp=drive_link
Janine puts a lot into these presentations. It’s wonderful for her to share these presentations with those who can’t be here. It’s even more impactful for people who can be here in person to get the information first hand and be able to get questions answered and learn from others living with MS.
I would highly encourage you to engage in our nutrition program Monday mornings @ 9:00am so you can benefit at a high level. All are encouraged to come; people with MS, loved ones, care takers, volunteers, etc.
Thank you, Janine!
Prayer Group We’ll be having our prayer group Wednesday from 11:00am – noon.
I just love the way we share, pray and laugh together while we witness prayers being answered weekly. It’s truly amazing!
Thanks goes to God and to everyone that joins us. Let’s get together to share, listen, talk, give thanks, and pray however God leads us.
MS-Just Keep Caring – Our Caregivers support group will be the first and third Friday of each month from 10:00 – 10:30am. The next one will be this Friday, June 5th, 2026. If you’re a caregiver of someone you love with MS, please join us and share your experience of caring for your loved one. This has been very helpful for many. Thanks to all who participate!
Member Spotlight – Christina Drasch
We all enjoyed Christina being with us and developing the leisure programs she brought to the gym through her capstone project at Concordia University. I hope Christina will still shine around and hopefully, her mother will join us as well.

Shoe Donations
Do you have any shoes you can donate? Becky Thomas is collecting old or new shoes supporting Soles for Jesus. These shoes will be distributed to people in need of shoes in Africa. Becky dropped off a box for us to drop them in. Please bring in shoes if you have any extras.
Coughs, colds, flus, etc. – Let’s not share
There are a lot of bugs going around. If you are experiencing any symptoms, please stay home and recover from them instead of sharing with the rest of us at the gym. We look forward to you getting over it and having you back quickly.
Research Needs us!
Marquette University, UW Milwaukee, University of Illinois, and Carroll University have research opportunities they would like us to engage in. We have flyers and more information about these opportunities at the gym. Please engage in these opportunities if you qualify. You could make improvements yourself and you could be helping so many other people with MS as they face their challenges. We really need to get this MS thing figured out and you can help by engaging in these research opportunities.
Here’s a research opportunity that Marquette University is doing for all of living with MS. I would highly encourage you to engage in this if you qualify.

I encourage you to share a smile and encouragement with someone. Perhaps you could call someone that you have not talked with for a while just to say hi and see how they are doing. We all could use a little extra love and encouragement.
MS is tough. Let’s have faith, remain calm, be flexible, help each other and learn as much as we can about the challenges of each day as we make good choices and take action.
Let’s keep moving, smiling, and loving 😊 It helps in many ways!
In God We Trust…we are in good hands.

P.S. I had some more fun with the camera in our backyard again this week. I guess that goes along with the Acres of Diamonds story I mentioned earlier in this e-mail. Here’s the sunset we had last night.

This turkey was sure happy in our yard

Aren’t they beautiful birds when you get a close look at them?

I was at Lapham Peak and saw this cardinal. They’re beautiful birds too.

This Red Bellied Woodpecker was a busy little guy

If you go into the butterfly garden at Lapham Peak, you will see some colorful flowers blooming

I’m always amazed at the colors and details in a flower

If you ever see a Great Blue Heron focused on something like this one was…

It’s probably ready to grab some lunch. It amazes me how they grab fairly good-sized fish and swallow them whole and alive in just a few seconds. They don’t filet them, add seasoning, cook them or anything.

Mmmm…that was good! 😊

For those who cannot get out and enjoy nature due your challenges with MS…my heart is with you. You are with me every time I am out there. I enjoy being able to share with you. I know how hard it is not to be able to get out and enjoy nature. Let’s enjoy nature and God’s beauty together this way.
