Friends,

Shelli needs some love, words of encouragement and prayers.

Shelliā€™s been bed ridden since October 9th and is having a hard time getting healed up.  She had a feeding tube put in this morning and ā€œamazinglyā€, is in great spirits.  Weā€™re hoping she regains her strength quickly.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Cal and I visited Shelli in the hospital on Sunday and asked if sheā€™s up for visitors.  She said sheā€™d like that.  If you want visit her, please let me know and Iā€™ll give you information on where sheā€™s at.  Sheā€™ll probably only be in the hospital for another day or two and then sheā€™ll go back to rehab.  If youā€™d like to e-mail her some words of encouragement, sheā€™d love to hear from you.  Her e-mail address is:  szoric5314@gmail.com

The spirit in our group amazes me every week.  The last two weeks Katie came with her wheels all lit up and a big smile on her face as she worked hard.  It takes hard work to make progress with our MS doesnā€™t it?  Youā€™re awesome Katie!

Joan is bringing the Christmas spirit with her when she comes.  If you ever need to draw some strength from anyone, Joan is a great person to draw it from.  Youā€™re looking awesome Joan!

Dr Becky Thomas and this semesterā€™s group of studentsā€™ last day with us will be this Wednesday.  Iā€™m extremely thankful they joined us all summer and this entire semester.  Some of the students will be graduating in December.  Weā€™re hoping Dr Becky will bring her next group in January when school starts back up.  Letā€™s be sure to thank Dr Becky and the students on Wednesday.  It truly is a blessing to have them join us as volunteers.  Will someone remind me to get a group picture before they leave?  We wish all the students a great future as they continue in their careers.

It gets to be kind of a rough crowd if you get caught sitting around doing nothing. Right Al?  Sue, yes, the same Sue that hadnā€™t walked for 27 years caught Al doing just that last week.  What did she do?

She talked him into walking on the Alinker when she was done with it and then walked along with him.  That just yanks at my heartstring.  Alā€™s a great sport and did what Sue told him to doā€¦not like he had a choice šŸ˜Š.

Laura sent me a reminder to ask anyone shopping for Christmas presents or any order anytime of the year, to consider ordering on the Amazon Smile program.  Our non-profit, MS-Just Keep Moving, Inc is on Amazon Smile and Amazon will donate a portion of every dollar spent to MS-Just Keep Moving Inc if you choose us when you order.

Laura made step by step instructions on how to do that.  Iā€™ve attached the instructions to this e-mail.  Laura also printed out a bunch of instructions. Theyā€™re on the table in the gym.  Please consider us as your non-profit of choice if you order anything from Amazon Smileā€¦thank you!

Keep in mind our thank you / Christmas party for our volunteers is December 20th.  Chris has a sign-up sheet in the gym if youā€™d like to bring a dish to pass.

Weā€™ll be getting together again Wednesday @ 11:30 for our prayer group.  Weā€™ll be giving thanks to God for our blessings and praying however God leads us.  Wow! Iā€™m hearing some powerful comments about this time together.  Feel free to join us.  If you need to come in a little early to get your exercise in before this starts, feel free to do so.

We all need to ā€œJust Keep Movingā€!  It doesnā€™t matter where we start.  We can start with laughing which is great exercise in itself.  Other than that, we start with the body parts that will move and keep moving them as much as we can.  Let them rest and then move them again.

I know there are still many of us going through other life challenges in addition to our challenges with MS.  Letā€™s stick together, keep our chins up and keep sharing our journey.  Better days are ahead.  For those of you who havenā€™t been able to make it by us on Wednesdays and Fridays lately, please know you are missed and in my thoughts and prayers.  I hope youā€™re able to make it back soon!

I hope youā€™ll join us both Wednesday and Friday again this week.   Rememberā€¦consistency is key.  With MS, it takes a lot of consistent effort every day to make small improvements.  Yes, itā€™s frustrating so be patient and consistent and youā€™ll be amazed how your quality of life will continue to improve.  Itā€™s been about 17 years of exercising just about every day for me and Iā€™m still making improvements (encouragement, love, support, nutritionand proper rest help immensely too).  It takes time so please be patient.  It sure is better than MS getting worse.  I really donā€™t know what my life would be like if I didnā€™t do this (nor do I want to find out).  Iā€™m so thankful you are all joining me on this journey of making progress with our MS and quality of lifeā€¦THANK YOU!  Weā€™ll continue to learn togetherā€¦thereā€™s so much power in the love and support we all share with each other.

In the past, Iā€™ve been telling you to bring a friend.  Unfortunately, weā€™re going to need to start a waiting list for new people.  Please feel free to continue to share your experience and what weā€™re doing together.  Let me know of anyone who would like to join us.  Iā€™ll communicate with these people through e-mail or phone and help them any way I can.  When we have room for them to join us, Iā€™ll encourage them to do that.  If youā€™ve joined us in the past, please continue to join us.

We are here to help you and anyone with MSā€¦no strings attached (well maybe an occasional story about the progress youā€™re making, smile, high five or a hug).  I remember how challenging life used to be when my MS was bad.  I get great joy sharing what Iā€™ve learned and feel blessed with the progress Iā€™ve made.  I hope you make progress in some way too!
