Friends,
John represented us well in Texas
It was an honor to have John Haupt represent our Peppy Pedalerâs bike team at the National MS Society Conference in Texas last weekend. Thank you John for going there and representing us!
John even got to meet Jon Franko from St Louis who has MS and ran 100 miles to the Missouri State Capitol with a friend who also has MS to raise money, awareness and lobby for all of us with MS. Jon has done and continues to do so much for all of us living MS. We sure have some amazing friends in our network doing their part to help all of us living with MS. Thank you Jon for all youâre doing. Iâm thankful you were able to meet John.
The National MS Society recognized our Peppy Pedalerâs bike team for raising $1,000,000.00 over the past 16 years of riding together as a team. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who rode with us and who donated to the National MS Society supporting us as we ride as well as volunteering and making this possible. Weâre all doing our part and we need to continue. We really need to get this MS thing figured out.
Rick Talbert gave an update on Medicare last Friday
Medicare can be confusing and complicated. If you have any questions about Medicare going forward, feel free to ask Rick.  Heâs always happy to help and knows the system very well. If youâd like to contact him by e-mail, you can do that @rtlbrt6@gmail.com
Our Open House presentation video is available
If you werenât able to make it to our open house, we have the video from the presentation available on YouTube. Hereâs a link to the video:

Again, a huge THANK YOU goes out to everyone that worked so hard to make this open house come together the way it did. It took a lot of effort from so many people and it went really well. Iâm really proud and thankful for everyone that made it possible and everyone that made it to the event. The video isnât quite the same as being there in person but it turned out really well.
Are you willing to share your feedback about the open house? If you have any feedback, positive or constructive, please either talk to or e-mail Joan Ruffino with your feedback. Joan is taking notes on what we did well and what we could do better next year. We would appreciate your feedback. Joanâs e-mail is: jnruffino@gmail.com
COVID
We had one more of our friends with MS test positive for COVID this past week. Weâre not through it yet but I feel weâre getting closer.
To all who have reported their positive testing to meâŚthank you for letting me know and for being socially responsible and staying away until your symptoms are all cleared up. If you do come down with it, itâs important we let people know that you have been in close contact with so they can watch for symptoms and help stop the spread.
Weâve all been dealing with COVID long enough and are very well educated on it by now. Iâm not telling you what to do but Iâd highly encourage you to wear a mask again if you havenât had it recently. Letâs make good choices and be safe.
Please stay home if you have any symptoms or know youâve been exposed to someone with the virus. Please donât come until your symptoms go away. Letâs also give each other some space when talking to one another and continue wiping the machines down before and after you use them with disinfectant. AgainâŚletâs be socially responsible and stay safe!
Letâs get together!
Weâll be getting together again from 9:00am â noon on Wednesday and Friday mornings at the gym. I hope youâll join us!

 Letâs reach out
I encourage you to share a smile and encouragement with someone. Perhaps you could call someone that you have not talked with for a while just to say hi and see how they are doing. We all could use a little extra love and encouragement.
MS is tough. Let us have faith, remain calm, be flexible, help each other and learn as much as we can about the challenges of each day as we make good choices.
Letâs keep moving and smiling đ
In God We TrustâŚwe are in good hands
Dan
P.S. Last night, we had another beautiful sunset. I thought I would take a picture of it and share it with you.
The sunset was so beautiful the cranes were even taking it in.
This morning, we had some snow. The same cranes were trying to adapt to the snow. I wonder how long theyâll be hanging around.
Weâre going to miss them when they fly south for the winter.
For those of you who canât get out and enjoy nature due your challenges with MSâŚmy heart is with you. You are with me every time Iâm out there.
