Friends,
As you know from the e-mails last week, we lost two of our MS-Just Keep Moving family members. Weâre going to miss Joan and JoAnn dearly. Rest peacefully Joan and JoAnn.
It was good to see so many of you back again last week. Even in bad weather, itâs important we stay consistent and keep our bodies moving. It was interesting talking with a few of you who missed the week before or havenât been here for a while and started getting more aches and pains, stiffness and weakness in that short of a time period. Exercise helps as much mentally as it does physically. Consistency is key and so is patience. Living with MS, we can lose so much so quickly. Letâs keep moving! Weâre here to help you.
With the COVID numbers going up so rapidly locally again, Iâm going to highly encourage each of us to be socially responsible and help us all be safe. Iâm not telling you what to do but Iâm asking you and highly encouraging you to wear a mask when youâre in close proximity to someone else; whether youâve been vaccinated or not. We want to remain open and we need to do it safely.
Please stay home if you have any symptoms or know youâve been exposed to someone with the virus. Please donât come until your symptoms go away. Letâs also give each other some space when talking to one another and continue wiping the machines down before and after you use them with disinfectant. AgainâŚletâs be socially responsible and stay safe!
Weâll be getting together again from 9:00am â noon on Wednesday and Friday mornings at the gym. I hope youâll join us!

This past weekend, Cal and I were able to do some hiking along the Mississippi River in the Dubuque, IA area. We had two cats hike with us. I know we have quite a few cat lovers.  I thought you would appreciate these pics.
The Mississippi River is beautiful in the winter as well as the summer.
We even saw quite a few eagles by the dam
This one was a long ways away. It was grabbing a fish out of the water. Pretty cool đ
Hopefully these pictures will inspire you to get out of the house as much as you canâŚeven if itâs just going for a ride or joining us at the gym.
Feel free to join our Facebook community and share pictures and experiences of your ownhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/2639832389489709
If you have Ricky work on you this week, please be sure to wear a mask. We have masks available if you need one. We donât want Ricky to pick the virus up from one person and get sick much less take the risk of spreading it to others. Letâs keep Ricky safe as well as everyone else.
Many continue making great progress with chronic pain relief, range of motion, walking better and a new sense of hope when Ricky does his magic to you. Please keep in mind that consistency is key. Not only with RickyâŚwith exercise too. We needconsistency to realize the benefits long term. We want you to have long term relief.
Ricky has a sign up sheet based on first come first serve. You can pick the time slot that works for you. I highly encourage you to take advantage of Rickyâs Tai Massages each day and sign up for your time slot as soon as you get there.
Weâll be having our prayer group in person again this Wednesday @ 11:00am. I just love the way we share, pray together and witness prayers being answered weekly. Thanks goes to God and to everyone that joins us. Letâs get together to share, listen, talk, give thanks and pray however God leads us.
Weâll be having our inspirational humor zoom call with Adam again next Tuesday. Adam is a gift to all of us. Please join us if you can.

I encourage you to share a smile with someone. Perhaps you could call someone that you havenât talked with for a while just to say hi and see how theyâre doing. We all could use a little extra love and encouragement during these times.
MS is tough. Letâs stay calm, focused, healthy, flexible, have faith and learn as much as we can about the challenges of each day as we make good choices. Better days are ahead.
In God We TrustâŚHappy New Year!
