Our initial MS-Just Keep Caring sharing session turned out to be very positive, open and helpful to those who showed up. We’ll be doing this again the third Friday in February. Thanks to Phil for facilitating and all who engaged!
It’s going to be cold this week. Just so you know, I had our furnace looked at and the furnace is working better now. We’ll have it warm inside so don’t let the cold weather keep you from joining us and getting together. We all need to keep moving.
Danelle O’Neill from the National MS Society reached out to me to let us know about a virtual wellness series they will be hosting in February. I’d highly recommend and encourage you to engage in this if you’re able to. I’ve attached a couple documents with more info. Here’s a message from Danelle: The National MS Society is pleased to announce that registration for our Pathways to Wellness virtual Discussion program is now open. The Pathways to Wellness in MS program empowers people affected by multiple sclerosis to solve wellness challenges and connect with others in the MS community. We will be hosting virtual discussion programs with specializing Comprehensive Care Centers from across the country throughout the month of February 2022.

Ashely Schneider from MS Run the US reached out to see if anyone in our group could use a ramp for their house. She has one available and is willing to help with getting it installed if you could use it. If you’re interested, let me know and I’ll connect you with Ashley. Here’s a message from Ashley:
Here’s the ramp! A real estate investor is wanting to donate it to someone who needs it, and MS Run the US will help facilitate transportation and cost ”
Nancy and Luther warmed my heart last week as they exercised together on the NuSteps. Beautiful!
With the COVID numbers going up so rapidly locally again, I’m highly encouraging each of us to be socially responsible and help us all be safe. I’m not telling you what to do but I’m asking you and highly encouraging you to wear a mask when you’re in close proximity to someone else; whether you’ve been vaccinated or not. We want to remain open and we need to do it safely.
Please stay home if you have any symptoms or know you’ve been exposed to someone with the virus. Please don’t come until your symptoms go away. Let’s also give each other some space when talking to one another and continue wiping the machines down before and after you use them with disinfectant. Again…let’s be socially responsible and stay safe!
We’ll be getting together again from 9:00am – noon on Wednesday and Friday mornings at the gym. I hope you’ll join us!

Have you watched John’s open house video lately? It’s a video that might help us come to the gym and JUST KEEP MOVING during these cold winter days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_XJHUX92lU
This past weekend I went out chasing eagles with my camera again. I was able to capture this guy. I just thought I would share😊 He looks pretty determined like so many people living with MS.
Feel free to join our Facebook community and share pictures and experiences of your own. We’re up to 162 members now…awesome! https://www.facebook.com/groups/2639832389489709
If you have Ricky work on you this week, please be sure to wear a mask. We have masks available if you need one. We don’t want Ricky to pick the virus up from one person and get sick much less take the risk of spreading it to others. Let’s keep Ricky safe as well as everyone else.
Many continue making great progress with chronic pain relief, range of motion, walking better and a new sense of hope when Ricky does his magic to you. Please keep in mind that consistency is key. Not only with Ricky…with exercise too. We needconsistency to realize the benefits long term. We want you to have long term relief.
Ricky has a sign up sheet based on first come first serve. You can pick the time slot that works for you. I highly encourage you to take advantage of Ricky’s Tai Massages each day and sign up for your time slot as soon as you get there.
We’ll be having our prayer group in person again this Wednesday @ 11:00am. I just love the way we share, pray together and witness prayers being answered weekly. Thanks goes to God and to everyone that joins us. Let’s get together to share, listen, talk, give thanks and pray however God leads us.
We’ll be having our inspirational humor zoom call with Adam again next Tuesday. Adam is a gift to all of us. Please join us if you can.

I encourage you to share a smile with someone. Perhaps you could call someone that you haven’t talked with for a while just to say hi and see how they’re doing. We all could use a little extra love and encouragement.
MS is tough. Let’s stay calm, focused, healthy, flexible, have faith and learn as much as we can about the challenges of each day as we make good choices. Better days are ahead.
