Friends,
Sharing Session about our “Day of Endurance” was fun!
I’m still taking in the Day of Endurance and reflecting on all the good that came of it.  Our sharing session last Friday was a lot of fun and for me…emotional.  You all know I get that way.  It was fun hearing about each other’s experiences from such different perspectives.

I was excited to hear that everyone was fine the next day.  It sounds like Todd might have been a little tired but that’s understandable.  He stayed up pretty late. 😊

I was really excited to hear that Mary walked 93 feet outside and her daughter was there to measure it.  She usually doesn’t walk outside.  How awesome is that?

Let’s work hard and see how far you can walk next year Mary.  We have something to look forward to. 😊

Did you get to meet my Mom?
It was awesome having my Mom there with us.  She has been loving me and supporting me and my creative ideas my whole life.  Many times she can’t understand why I would do some of the things I do.  This became very clear to her at the Day of Endurance when she experienced that it’s about so much more than the physical accomplishments we do.  She really appreciated the love, support, encouragement, community, accomplishments, joy and so much more.  Thanks for being with us Mom.  I love you!

Bonnie says THANKS so much!
Bonnie was surprised when the flower delivery person arrived at our door on Saturday with a card and many kind, sentimental words and signatures along with a big beautiful flower arrangement.

Bonnie is always behind the scenes doing so much for me and so many other people.  She never asks for anything in return.  She does way more than I do and makes me look good all the time.  Bonnie was very surprised and appreciated the nice card, sentimental words and beautiful flowers.  Thanks to all for doing that for her!  You’re so kind and thoughtful.

Nutrition program tomorrow @ 11:00
Alison from Wholsome LLC will be back tomorrow for another nutrition program.  Alison will be going over the importance of protein and the best places to get protein from for us living with MS.

Please join us as Alison always does such a nice job explaining what’s critical to us living with MS and why from a nutrition perspective.  Alison will make her presentation slides available after the presentation.  I’ll send them out on next week’s e-mail.

We will be doing the cardio and balance programs again this week.

Friday Morning Bike Ride
Hopefully, after all the Day of Endurance achievements, we’ll have more people join us on our Friday morning bike rides.  Let’s start building for next year.  If you’d like to ride with us next year, let’s get started now.

Let’s leave the parking lot earlier again this week.  Come a little early so you can get your bike out of your car and be ready to ride as close to 7:00 as possible.  We’ll ride until about 8:45.  Let’s ride and have some fun!

Let’s meet Friday morning at 6:45 and be ready to ride by 7:00am at Nettesheim Park in Pewaukee.  It’s on the SE corner of Hwy SS and Oak Street.  The GPS address is:  N26W27495 Prospect Ave, Pewaukee, WI 53072.

Again, for those who wish you could join us but can’t; please know we have you in our hearts on these rides.  We’re riding with you and for you.  I hope you too can join us someday.  We really need to get this MS thing figured out.  Let’s keep working on it together.

Let’s reach out
I encourage you to share a smile and encouragement with someone.  Perhaps you could call someone that you have not talked with for a while just to say hi and see how they are doing.  We all could use a little extra love and encouragement.

MS is tough.  Let us have faith, remain calm, be flexible, help each other and learn as much as we can about the challenges of each day as we make good choices.

Let’s keep moving and smiling 😊

In God We Trust…we are in good hands.

P.S.  I got back outside to spend some time in nature with my camera this past weekend.  I saw this Great Blue Heron and Egret sitting in a tree discussing what’s for lunch.

The Egret went out looking for some food

The sunflowers are beautiful right now

I saw this deer right at dusk.  Of course, he saw me too

I had to wait quite a while for this monarch butterfly to open its wings…it finally did!

The early morning shadows on an alfalfa field are always fun

It was fun seeing these two deer at sunrise

I heard a nut drop and looked in that direction.  It pays to be alert and check out where the noise came from.  This guy must have dropped the shell of the nut

For those who can’t get out and enjoy nature due your challenges with MS…my heart is with you.  You are with me every time I’m out there.  I enjoy being out there and I also enjoy sharing with you.  I know how hard it is not to be able to get out and enjoy nature.  Let’s enjoy nature and God’s beauty together this way.
