Friends,
Do you want some good news for this week? I didnât hear of anyone else with MS that came down with COVID and as far as I know, all of us that did get it through this pandemic are doing well. Weâre certainly not through it yet but the numbers in Wisconsin seem to be heading in the right direction. Thatâs good news. Letâs hope it continues to go that way.
Do you want to read an article about what John Haupt has been up to? Heâs an inspiration to me and so many others. Hereâs the article.https://www.mkelifestyle.com/mkepeople/remkeable/article_76318e7e-43ac-11eb-9cce-eb625a975655.html#tncms-source=block-contextual-fallback Scroll down until you see his picture.
Keep being you John! Iâm thankful for all youâve done for all of us living with MS and everything else youâre engaged in. You sure are making the best of life with MSâŚâRemarkably Determinedâ. Thatâs a fitting title for the article, you live up to that. Read the articleâŚthatâs our John! đ
As much as weâd love to get back together this week, I really feel the responsible thing to do is wait until this COVID things settles down a bit more. We wonât be getting back together yet this week but we will as soon as we feel safe to do so. Stay tuned!
Talking about getting back together, who would feel comfortable and be interested in coming back at this time? I know everyone has different opinions and feelings about this pandemic and I respect all of them. If youâd feel comfortable in starting to come back, please respond to this e-mail and let me know that. Once I know whoâs all comfortable, we can develop a plan.
As you know, I like to share. Late this summer, we planted a dead tree. I know, not too many people plant dead trees. I was walking around in the woods and I saw this tree that was just covered in vines and laying on itâs side. It was a cedar tree. I looked through the vines and dead branches and saw what I thought would be a nice bird feeder tree. Sometimes we need to look a little deeper to see the beauty in people too.
So me, my brother, brother-in-law and a couple other family members decided to clean it up and move it to our yard. It was quite the project. We got it moved, planted and put a few bird feeders in it. We now have happy birds, chipmunks, squirrels and cats. We call it the âSharing Treeâ. Sharing is fun!
This was when we first planted it
It didnât take long for the hummingbirds to find it
The chipmunks really like filling their chomps
There sure is beauty in an old dead tree and beautiful birds
The cats like it too. They think itâs a playground. Theyâre always trying to brainstorm together on how to catch birds”
As the seasons change, the birds love it even more. I took this picture this past weekend.”
This old dead tree has brought a lot of joy to many crittersâŚespecially me. Itâs been a blessing. I just thought I would share a little about the sharing tree.
Last week, we had yet another amazing Zoom prayer group. I just love the way we share, pray together and witness prayers being answered weekly. Thanks goes to God and to everyone that joins us. AgainâŚamazing!
Our Zoom prayer group on Wednesday mornings are a great place to get together virtually, catch up a bit and give thanks. Even though we canât get together physically quite yet, itâs so nice to see all who joins us virtually. Itâs awesome seeing so many of you there laughing, listening, sharing, giving thanks and praying!
Weâll be doing it again tomorrow (Wednesday) @ 11:30am. Weâll get together via zoom and share, talk, listen, give thanks and pray however God leads us. Itâs a way for all of us to get together virtually to catch up and be there for each other and with each other. I hope youâll join us!

My heart goes out to all the people and families of the people that have been affected by COVID-19. This is really getting serious and close to home. Whether actually having it, being exposed to it, being affected by businesses being shut down, losing your job, working on the front line, etc. These are tough times and we really need to take it seriously and do our part of practicing social distancing and all other recommendations. I hope you and your family are safe. Letâs keep everyone affected in our prayers and pray we all get through this as safely as we can.
As we all go through this pandemic together, I encourage you to share a smile with someone. Perhaps you could give someone a call that you havenât talked with for a while just to see how theyâre doing. This pandemic is tough in many ways. We all could use a little extra love and encouragement during these times.
Letâs be thankful for all the doctors, nurses and everyone in the health care that are putting themselves at risk every day and every night as they serve those with the Coronavirus. These are amazing, selfless, courageous people! Letâs also give thanks to all the people in the world that are working diligently to develop testing equipment and ways to treat this Coronavirus. Letâs also give thanks for all the people that are working diligently to produce protective gear, respirators, and any other medical equipment to help us get through this pandemic.
We may be inconvenienced in many ways but others have it much worse. Letâs be thankful we have each other. I know Iâm thankful for you!
Letâs stay calm, focused, healthy, flexible, have faith and learn as much as we can about the challenges of each day and make good choices.
See you soonâŚbetter days are ahead!
In God We Trust!
